Savage 10TR le/military

There ya go!
Will you shoot sometimes during the week around noon?
Do you reload for your 10TR?

Stittsville range got all the components i use to make accurate loads with accustock
Can't wait to see if this stock will squeeze out an extra 1/8 moa out of this rig

Haven't made any weekday appearances yet, but plan to when my work schedule permits. If I can get rings on it this weekend I might be out there next week.
I'm not reloading yet, but I'm planning to in the future. I'm planning to reload for .308, .300 Blackout, and to a lesser extent .223.

i'll keep an eye out, these exact same bipods we're 30% off at cabelas ottawa not long ago

I remember that and was tempted at the time, but wasn't sure about the quality compared to other pricier bipods. Having said that I've always been happy with anything I've got from Caldwell in the past.

My friend shoots 308 with a caldwell
Only thing thats a pain is that his doesn't swivel

I run a harris, and lack field experience to say that it's actually better than caldwell. It's more expensive, heavier, and has more metal to it.

I am assume like most things your expectations will dictate your satisfaction. This gun is a prime example of that to be honest. $600 gun with a $400 optic. I'm sure it will shoot well above my expectations.

I installed sunshade hoping it would help push balance point forward a bit
Didn't change a thing, but even looks better since scope shape now follows handguard groove

Nothing wrong with the diamondback, im sure at 100M it has same potential as my razor
The only reason i went all in with optic, i have long range plans.
Turrets will go through many shooting solutions cranking up and down, went with a scope that had, one of the best turrets in the market.

Sure it's not an S&B pm2, but i can only afford one scope like this.
If i break a pm2 ill be out of shooting long range for 3 years, if i break a razor i send it back for free replacement

My friend just got his savage 10TR out, for the first time, 2 years after purchase.
Can't sight it in, now matter how elevation is cranked up or down, barrel is pointing over target at 100M

Is there soneone you guys know he can contact to get some help?
2 years after purchasing is a little late to bring issue up with SFRC, bit hopefully theres a Savage contact who can help

I'd recommend calling SFRC and asking them. They'll likely give you the info for whoever does Savage's warranty work. From the sounds of things it was a somewhat common issue.

On a somewhat related note, how closely did everyone follow the Savage break in period recommendations? I'm hoping to put a few rounds through mine to make sure it shoots straight before going through the whole break in process.

I broke mine in using sniper 101s copper equilibrium break in
Not experienced enough to know if it's really good
At least it had many similarities in common with the break in another local shooter (who often shoots at 900) recommended me

Isn't that where you basically just shoot until the accuracy drops off?

I don't remember exactly as it's been many months since i have done it, and was a one shot deal as it's my first rifle

Copper equilibrium was along the lines of shoot one, clean, shoot 2, clean, shoot 3, clean etc...
Benchrest break in involved lapping compound, didn't read much into it at the time as copper equilibrium seemed better for my application
