Got mine : It's rough compared to my other Savages but you know what.... It's a great entry level rifle that can be improved on so I'm with you Mr Donut. The only thing I really didn't like was the amount of play the bolt has in the action prior to lockup but alas.... It is what it is. The finish is nice and although the stock isn't my McMillan, I can make it work!
First thing, the action will be getting bedded with Devcon. Once that is complete I'll worry about removing the "whale snot" as someone referred to the packing grease in another thread LOL. The stock will be getting our team paint job, Harris bipod, TacPro (I'll promo one of the board dealers SFRC

) cheekrest, tactical brake and I haven't quite decided what I'll be topping it with but it'll be something FFP. I'm really liking the Sightron scopes as they are excellent value for the money.
I'll be using this one for more tactical application (which is why I'll try to groove with the factory stock - want to keep it light) so If it will hold .75 MOA after that... I'll be as happy as a pig rolling in my own turds
Stay tuned for some pics and AAR once I get a chance to put some down range.
For the nay sayers.... I would equate buying this deal and then stomping on it to picking a scab until it bleeds and then complaining. Cheer up boys... Try to see some good!
