Savage 10TR le/military

Good news for future 10TR Owners. It's a great things that Savage include a 10 rounds mags to their already nice platform. Just another great feature for the money! Unbeatable bang for the buck!!!

Awesome rifle, still in love with mine ;)

Savage 10T. Cabelas exclusive, no 10 round mag =(, no threaded barrel. Have to adjust the accutrigger. It is stupid light, does anyone know if a valve stem core removal tool works the same as the "accutrigger tool"?

I had purchased a 10TR way back when they first got out.
I had a few life bad lucks and sold it before scoping it as it was the wise thing to do at the time.
Now this new 10TR seems a little different, as in the savage logos changed, looks a bit better finished if my memory is good, rail screw holes are clean and aligned in the receiver.
Also comes with a 10 round mag now.
Now to test fired it asap to check if it doesnt shoot for the moon

What is the go to place to buy these new 10tr's?

680$+tx +ship
Just ordered an MDT ESS for it
As soon as it gets here, will be selling factory accustock, mag and scope rail

Just have to shoot it asap, as barrel might be off like many have been

Thats what i saw all over this thread
People not able to sight in and maxing out scopes @ 50M

Keeping SFRC receipt in my back pocket since i have received it, gonna shoot it with a loaner scope soon just to confirm its sightable

That stock has a 2 to 3 month wait time can you imagine!
Can't wait to receive, if this 10TR is crooked it will just go on a straight one i am not giving up!

Anyone seen bad ones since ''new'' model revision?

Is there someone who already removed the barrel on a Savage 10TR? The barrel nut seems to be perfectly round, so the usual Savage barrel wrench could'nt work?

Really? I've hear some stories that the barrel nut was tight as hell... But if there isn't some kinda teeths for the wrench to grab in, they shouldn't be able to tight it very much either!

I had my 10TR changed over to 6.5 creedmoor. Im pretty sure the barrel nut the ridges for the standard wrench to work, can you post a picture? If yours is completely smooth I'm pretty sure wheeler makes a wrench that will work for it.

The barrel nut is perfectly smooth. As I making research on internet, it looks like guy's just remove the smooth barrel nut with a pipe wrench and throw it away, replace it with a new standard one which fits the wrench. A bit different look on the rifle tho...

I read that the factory recoil lug from savage is horrible made, the thickness varying everywhere, so better purchase another well made one. I believe that it can help the accuracy as the recoil is distributed evenly on the stock where the lug is touching.

Please tell me more.
Original mags work right since it's short action?
did you have to ream chamber, or did you get a ''drop-in'' barrel?

Original mags work just fine. It was just a barrel swap, I used a Shillen SS match bull barrel. Was around the 500 mark. Then I put it in a McMillan stock. She's a beaut.
