Savage authorized repair

Johnn, I do warranty work for Savage Arms (centerfire only) and I think your problem lies in the firing pin not the accutrigger. You can contact the boys over at Bashaw and although they are more than capable of altering firing pin protrosion or replacing a broken fireing pin its not their problem. Its a Savage issue. You have purchased an ecellent firearm inregards to quality and quantity for dollars spent, but even Rollsroyce have a few that slip through the cracks. Phone your retailer and they will give you instructions as to how to send your rifle to me. Regards David.

Hi Guy, I appreciate the interest but as / post #18 on this thread, problem solved. :) Oh, for future reference, where is Bentley?

Nice!
Be sure to post up the range report!

:D :D
A friend I go shooting with on occasion got me started on recording target results with load data and keeping it in a binder. Went out today, bore sighted, took a 50 yrd shot, corrected, shot at 100, corrected, shot a three shot group, then shot another three shot group, at about 185. These are the first loads I've put through it and haven't 'played' with the trigger settings yet. I was just happy it shot!! The group @ 100 yrds measured out @ 0.642" and the one @ 185 yds 0.995". Again, thats just the first handloads I've tried off of a good bean bag rest.
:D :D
I have put the two targets & all the pertinent info on a letter sized page & scanned it but I don't have an inkling of how to post it and there's twenty inklings to a clue.
