Savage bolt lift kit

I know that. Just the wording everywhere in this thread implies it exists
Indeed, but it doesn't.......:)

Words have many meanings:

G@y used to mean happy and g@y all the long day! Of course, it means something completely different today........:(

Have some Coke used to mean a refreshing soda on a hot summer day. Now it means it's snowing in New York City. LOL

Screw used to be a item one uses to fasten things down. Well now in means getting lucky.

Having a selfie used to mean, well you know. Now it means taking a photo of yourself.

I could go on, but I think you get the idea........:)

Hey I see there’s a 60 degree bolt lift kit out there to convert your Savage 90 degree factory bolt lift ! Any one done one ? How did it work out for you ?
Thxs RJ

This first post says nothing regarding bolt lift force. Just degrees of lift

So please enlighten me I can find other posts too if you’d like

Edit. I will no longer be able to find other posts to back this up. As the poster has edited all the misinformation out of their posts.

And degrees means lift force.
Must be some old timey stuff

I get it now. Crystal clear by your analogy thanks for clarifying that

I see the OPs edited the first post now. But we have it saved in the thread. Just admit your mistake instead of defending it through the threads entirety.

I’ve edited posts admitting my stupidity vs editing out what I said. cause guess what. Everyone’s seen it already.

Everybody knows you have to turn a bolt a certain amount to pull it back and if you don't turn it that far you can't pull it back. Well most people anyway, that was the joke I assume, though I can't see it now

“ * Addition of this kit reduces the friction and " reduces the bolt lift by 20% to 30%, or in some cases as much as 50%.* “

Dave_D read this as the manufacture claims which could be even MORE the a 60 degree bolt lift - then GFY ! RJ

If your Savage rifle requires a lot of effort to #### and close the bolt, our Savage Bolt Lift Kit, by Desh Industries, will reduce that effort considerably. This Bolt Lift kit uses a special thrust bearing and a spacer for the BAS screw. Addition of this kit reduces the friction and reduces the bolt lift by 20% to 30%, or in some cases as much as 50%.
Where can I purchase this kit in Canada? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find it in Canada or anywhere that will ship to Canada

How did you resolve the issue? I can’t find this kit for sale in Canada

It doesn’t exist. The kit the OP was referring to did not do what he said it did. And he was not man enough to admit it and deleted everything. There is no such thing as a 60° kit for savage rifles.
The kit originally posted was supposed to reduce bolt lift force and that it all.

I resolved the light primer strike issue by changing the spacers in the bolt (there are 2 version) but I took out the split ring spacer that was in mine and changed it to 2 washers instead. I filed the thicknesses to be what I wanted and reassembled it all

If you read through the posts. The kit he referred too is quoted in a message.
My mod also reduced the force a little. As the split ring was misaligning the springs and causing friction. (Post 18)

The kit reduces friction. Not bolt angle lift. The thread is all confusing now. Just look up a video how to disassemble the bolt and go from there. Like I said too the kit can be found in quotes through the thread.

Not sure what you’re trying to accomplish. But there is still enough information in the thread to piece it all together

Any luck? I can’t find it anywhere. Also looking for a trigger. Will be happy with the MCARBO or anything else.
That's exactly what I did while searching for the bolt lift kit - got the Mcarbo spring kit. I messaged Desh Ind earlier this year and he replied that due to US export restrictions that he is unable to ship anything outside of the US. :(
