Cabelas on line for $36 but none in stock, but I did manae to get one in Cabelas Moncton. I have a 783 coming in 243.

Yes....yes it is. And the main reason it makes it a poor rifle for hunting.... I mean if someone is serious about hunting anyway.Fairly common complaint on the Salvage axis clip..........Oh my god I said clip instead of mag, I hope my #### doesn't fall off.
How long will the next one last ?
And what do you do when that clip breaks off the mag when you are on a hunt hundreds of miles away from a dealer...well actually I've seen the duct tape fix but really, there are better guns for less money then an Axis these days.
And yes, I have one in 7-08 stinking up my safe I don't know what to do with. Probably consignment.

I think what you have there is a stripper clip. He is just talking about a regular clip.
