SAVAGE DONT REFUND ME, 5 monts and always delayed.

Just to piss everybody off who've been waiting what seems like forever for a warranty issue to be resolved
I sent a Ruger Redhawk to Ruger's warranty center in Canada for some work a few weeks ago.
Location Snapshots gets quite a bit of bad mouthing here, but I had my revolver back 10 days from the day I mailed it out, fixed.

I had a savage axis that had the same issue, that I chased for about a year before I think I figured it out. I found that the stock would flex and touch the barrel if you rotated the gun. For instance, if the stock was resting on a shooting bag or bipod, and while looking through the scope you rotated the rifle to the left to square up the cross hairs. The stock would flex ever so slightly to touch the barrel and throw shots off target.
 
Do a search on here for a year or two ago about all the service antics of Remington and Marlin.

Canada might as well be in the banana republics for all many of the U.S. gun companies care.
 
After 6 months, I received my refund.
took the money and bought a Savage (270 WSM) this rifle is insane, so accurate she is as good has my 308 , 10TR. She`s a keeper.

We had bad experience about a Savage in 260 rem, this bad experience was mainly due to the lack of the gunsmith Alain Depot. Savage was asking him to destroy the rifle, why it too him more than 3 months to proceed is beyond my limited knowledge.
Over 40 yrs old, I can tell you that:
When I was young, I was bashing on Savage. But guess what? my Remmy and Winny, some of them had issues, even a $$ Weatherby $$ rifle to friend of mine with a receiver drilled crooked was not too impressive.
One day I had a luck on a 308, a Savage, at this price I can’t say no.
First three round with it, and I made one the best group of my life what’s so ever. OMG….it was the start of something that day called: respect.

Case close.

she is in fact crazy accurate, and way too fast:
Body of mine shooting with a Winchester Supergrade same caliber: accuracy with the SG is very good.
He tried some of his reloaded ammo in my rifle after the breaking period.
In the SG he was getting 3100 fps, in my Savage 3325 fps.
We taught there was a big issue because on the target, we were able to identify only one hole.
With this sky rocket booster speed, probably the bullets just flew all over the place. and yes there was sign of overpressure.
Walked down, both of us were completely stunned, speechless. there was 4 bullets on the same hole, basically a 1/4 inch group.
To get the targeted 3100 fps for my 140gr VLD, I have to drop 5 grains less of Imr-4350 in mine.
And the accuracy is still outstanding, its definitively an half moa rifle all day long... extremely rare in my book.
I cant speak for anybody else, this is my own personal experience.

Must have been a covert hit gun from Iraq that got tossed back into civilian circulation by mistake.;)
