Ok, I've got smaller hands. So, I'm trying to figure out the best way to reduce the distance between the thumb hole to the trigger (marked as "A" in the photo).

I figure I have two options:
1) Sand the wood where my thumb pad meets the grip. But I'm not sure about the finish on this stock and what I would have to do to it so that it doesn't look like it was sanded down...
2) Move the trigger back. Not sure if this is possible on the Savage. I could adjust this length of pull on my Walther GSP in a few seconds... but I don't see this possible on the Savage. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyone know what the best way to achieve my goal?
Thanks
