Nice ammo type?
I'm having a hard time if I want 17 or 22. 17 is all good ammo really, 22 there is so many different brands. Gota find the "one" yours likes.
Just bought the Troy Landry......sighted in and started literally killing flies at 50 yards. No joke! Cheek riser is a must.
This is the one I was looking for

Hope this helps in your decision.
.17 ammo is so expensive, that unless killing gophers and such it's kinda a waste and at times harder to find in stock, where as .22 ammo is cheaper and easier to find, the great selection is also to your advantage as you can try lots to find a few your gun likes best, and in the end once you find the right ammo it will likely be more accurate than the .17. Just trying what ammo I have at home when I mounted my new scope, once done at the 25 yard with my .22 I shot the staples out of the corners of the target, before I moved to the 50 yard.
But if you want more oomph and louder and faster I love my .17 and have no idea how I did so long without one, it's my goto gopher gun and runs flawless.
I like the idea of being on at 50, is also on at 100 ! lol
Also being able to stretch it out for 200 yards would be fun.
Is it worth the price ? I mean they are similar once you break into good match 22 ammo...
where is everyone getting those ###y boyyd stocks from?
I have a Mark II FVSR in .22lr and absolutely love it. My biggest advice is to change out the stock if you want a proper cheek weld and put some thicker bottom metal on it. Been learning how to shooting mine out to 400 yards with reasonable consistency.

Those are 5 shot groups at 50 yds. My gun really prefers CCI Standard Velocity.
Nice. Where you get your stock ? Muzzle break make a differnce?
