I love this little rifle, I only paid about 130$ for it and its been some of the best fun on camping trips.
Recently I've been noticing some issues with it however.
-Doesn't extract a live shell
When a round is inserted, even a CB Long which is shorter than the regular .22LR the round becomes stuck in the chamber. Only after its fired does it easily come out with the regular operation of the bolt.
I've noticed that one of the dual extractors, the one on the opposite side of the ejection port is not a sharp edge like the one nearest to the ejection port. Is this normal?
-When loading a round, sometimes it gets hung up and/or scrapes one side of the bullet heavily.
I feel this is effecting accuracy. When the round is slightly hung up I pull it out and the top of the round is scraped off from the top of the chamber, like its doing a nose dive upwards. This happens at any time and seems to be intermittant, the mags are brand new savage 10 rounders. Anyone else have this problem?
Just kind of annoing when your running through rounds rapidly to have one get crushed or hung up on the upper chamber wall.
Its only a 130$ rifle but I just want to get a feel to see if this kind of issue is happening with other users and its normal, or if indeed my rifle has an issue.
If anyone else has a mark II can they check the bolt face where the extractors lie, and tell me if their extractor opposite of the ejection port is just as sharp and pointy as the one on the right? Maybe I broke mine...
