Here she is shortly after I got her:

Threw a cheap scope on her and that was going to be it (LOL, yeah right). Then I added a Tac Pro cheek riser and the same week my wife got me a Boyds Evolution stock that was on sale. Then November of 2017 MDT put a bunch of factory second LSS-22 chassis on sale so of course I picked one up and threw some cheap furniture on it and called it a day. I haven't really shot it much since as life kind of got in the way. But I came back to this project recently and had freed up some funds so I did a little more shopping and here is the end result:

I would say that it's done now but we all know that's a lie. I'm going to put some more rounds down range this year and then see if I want to bother with a trigger upgrade. I've read good things about the Apachee upgrade kit.

Looks great! I’m hoping to do the same some day. I have thought about a trigger upgrade too. Where would you pick up an Apache upgrade? Is there a Canadian source? I’m also looking for a DIP rail or EGW rail in Canada too. So many things on the wish list I guess. Let us know what you think after some range time.

You can order directly from egw

Looks real nice!

How is the quality and rigidity on the MDT stock? Looks great from the pictures and this seems like a good alternative to ordering a boyds stock.

The mdt lss chassises are great. I love mine. Same ergo grip but i have a magpul 6 position adjustible butstock on mine. Really improved my accuracy going to the chassis

It is certainly more solid and rigid than the plastic stock or the Boyds (I used the cheap bottom metal, not the DIP). I haven't shot it yet in the newest configuration but I am expecting good things. This rifle was already more accurate out of the box than I am.

Dale's Apachee trigger kit is the best upgrade you can make to a Savage if you're shooting paper targets.
Can be installed successfully by any competent novice and will give a safe, reliable pull weight under 16 ozs.
I've run thousands of rounds using these kits plus the RB Sav-Rat with no issues.

Good to know, thanks!

That is an amazing group. I have the same rifle (as the before picture) but with a Bushnell Banner 4-12x40 with AO. It is the most accurate of the 22's I own, but I have never shot a group that small. I use it as a small varmint/plinking gun though so I have never really tried. I am looking forward to seeing your after results and I hope it works out for you.
