just got mine today, no scope rail. Called savage, they didn't even question I didn't get one. They asked for my address and said 7-10 days, no payment. Seems to be a regular thing not having them shipped with the rifles. Savage Canada told me I'm the second person calling today about needing a scope rail.

hopefully by end of next week I can go shooting.

That sucks man, I got mine of thursday and to my surprise the rail was installed. I was told they didn't come installed. Hope you get yours soon brother!

Took mine out to the range today. Just a beautiful rifle. At 200 yards it was a tac driver. Wherever I aimed, that's where it went with consistency. I can't wait to try this rifle out at longer ranges.

Do yourself a favour and check the screws on the base before you go. Several people have reported that sometimes the screws are very loose from the factory, and I've personally seen it myself.

I received mine this week and had the same issue. Did you call the American or Canadian customer service number? (And if you have it handy that would be great). I assume they just asked for the serial number or the product ID# or something....

I called the Canadian first, they told me to contact the American customer service. She gave a 1800 # I no longer have but no worries the parts and service # for the states should still provide you assistance, (413) 568-7001 for parts and service (please have your serial number and credit card available) http://www.savagearms.com/customerservice/contact/

Now I did NOT have to provide a Credit card. they only wanted my shipping address, rifle serial # and phone number. Just tell them when you got it, they did not tell me to deal with the dealer they simply said 7-10 days I will have it, so great service. If you want the 1-800 # call the Canadian service first.

hope it helps. Also I recommend you register your product on line. Quick and easy, Mine was made on October 31 2013. Should be a good zombie sniper haha

Poor QC with these guns. With a Leupold Mark 4 4.5x14x50 scope and Leupold PRW medium rings all lapped and torqued and scope zeroed before installed. At 100 yds 18 moa to the right and 7 moa up to get centered on target??? The gun came with rail installed and I took it off and remounted and torqued before mounting scope. I just double checked my reticle alignment with a mirror and it matches my range adjustments. I have just being doing a remounting job on all my guns and no other of my guns is any way close to this misalignment of rail, bases. Not good Savage!!!!!

Mine were not loose but they weren't super tight either. I took the rail off, cleaned off the oil under it and retorqued the screws with Loctite on them.

Sounds like bad luck man, most of us got good ones, looks like you got a lemon. I’d send it back and get another. My second time ever shooting bolt gun was with the 10TR, and according to folks here, I was getting about ¾ moa (I posted some pictures somewhere....

just got my rail today, not too bad, 10 calendar days to my door. I bore sighted, now waiting for Saturday to go shoot some paper on crown land. I'll take photos of my groups.

I was finally able to take out my Savage 10TR out to the range and I was quite happy with the results.

Now I'm not an amazing long range shooter but I plan to use this for hunting on the prairies and I believe this firearm will be more then enough for ethical hunting.
I can't wait to be able to shoot 200m for a proper zero then really reach out to see what this thing can do.

All shots done at 100 meters, 3 round group with a Vortex PST 4-16x50mm with Vortex low-pro match rings. I blame all the stringers on operator error!
