Savage rascal vs cricket youth

Mine can, she tried it at ct.

Does the savage have a ramp for the cartridge to ride up into the chamber? The cricket needs to be placed in.

I have (had) both for my kids. We ended up selling the Crickett. Savage has a nicer trigger, easier for a kid to load and in my situation, the Savage was a bit more accurate. With the Crickett we got their scope, it sat about 4" above the barrel, looked as odd as it shot. The Crickett also had the plunger style cocking device, more times than not little fingers would get snagged in it, creating a whole new kind of flinch.
I also heard there was an accident with a small child in the states with a Crickett, and the company all but disappeared after that, have not followed up on it though.
Crickett, at the time of our purchase, had some very cool offers and clothing for kids, from ear protection to youth glasses/cases and other apparel to make them feel included.

Another little rimfire you can check out is the Thompson Hotshot. I bought one for my daughter, she loves it and its a great shooter. Gets them used to the accuracy and simplicity of a single shot

oh snap, that one does look nice too though eh....

i see the cricket and hotshot can be uncocked.
can the rascal be uncocked?

My daughter loves her pink rascal, and I find the peep great pop bottles are no match at 100 yards. Also down the road if need be it's drilled and tapped for scope mounts.
