I like the Rascal for what I bought it for. The light packable small game gun.
My wife loves it LOL Having "just" discovered the fun of shooting .22LR , I can't get it out of her hands once she gets on a target
I think I will get her a nice .22 for christmas this year.
She has become a very good shot with it too after I adjusted the rear sight a little.
After the trip last week when I was getting failures to extract I brought more variety in ammunition.
Like before , the only ammo to stick in the chamber was the Winchester 333. The bases are just a little wider or something and the follower prevents extraction as the rim of the shell catches on it as the bolt is trying to extract it. Flicking them out with a blade tip, the follower needs to be slightly depressed for them to come out.
So I'll save that ammo for different rifles. It's a very accurate little rifle overall and I'm glad the extraction issues was simply ammo related. I can file a tiny bit off the front lip of that follower to clearance it though so I will probably end of doing that.
