Saved a young bucks life tonight!

Ok non poacher..your on your way to "your trails"..and you see a buck on your way, in a feld, that you know the owner of..your not going to shoot it?
Also sounds like you have a problem with a guy and his family getting in a truck and hunting..nice thats great.

It's happened plenty of times. I don't even think about the deer I see when I'm in a vehicle; other than to note that there are deer there. If I am hunting his land then I will hunt it. Not poach it.

I don't have a problem with a guy hunting with his family. I have a problem with a guy having his family being an accessory to poaching, or just straight out poaching.

Absolutely no relevance..come up with something better next time...lol..and I despise HOLY HUNTERS.
I don't think I am any better than anyone. But I do despise how people disregard the provincial laws of hunting. I realize that it probably started generations ago when the automobiles first appeared and was passed down through the family. But it doesn't make it right.

Love the Riders..;)

Makes total sense.

I only hunt with my dad. My dad has a bad leg and can't walk very far. we drive aroudn till we see deer then we GET OUT and shoot. not from teh rouad not from the truck but just far enough that we are breaking no laws. the area we hunt my dad has lived his entire life and knows everyone and he is a genrally liakable guy so we have standing persmission on most fo the land and the ones we dont we make sure to ask.

I don't see a problem with this. we get the stupid ones thats all.

A home located anywhere close to the center of 1/4 section, makes the entire 1/4 section out of bounds without permission. The same goes for a corral. That regulation can refer to a good amount of land in farm country.

i'm not sure why your arguing about SASK hunting reg's being from Alberta and all but the only place i have seen a house on every 1/4 is hobby farmers and acreages outside city's.

specifically next week i'm going out to a friends place for a bunch of us to go hunting, (mixture of blind, stalk, and road...oh the horrors!) they have 4000 acres and that equates into 25 quarters so there should be 25 houses or corrals around?.....nope 1 house, a shop, garage, and a bunch of older out buildings.

we will hunt any land out there that is not posted or if it is posted as long as we have permission (most of that area if they hear our last names we are more then welcome) we walk through or use any acceptable bush and will drive through any field unless they could not get their crop off the ground or planted a winter crop.

alot of farmers that i know are hunters and they will not post their land so others can use it and they can use others.....kinda neighborly if you ask me.

That's totally a different story. Disabled people are allowed to use vehicles.

He's not disabled lol. You call him disabled and you'll see how fast he can cross the room to slap you upside the head lol. he just can't go longish distaces

I must have hit a nerve????? Sounds like we have one of them REDNECK HUNTERS. Probably has a 300 Ultra Mag that shoots them out to 600 on the flat out run........ LMAO and drives one of them 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel pickups with stacks out the rear wishing he was a REAL truck driver.

I just voiced my opinion on how I would post land. Friend or not I want to know who is going on the land............... END OF STORY.

I grew up hunting in Saskatchewan, and I still hunt there,so I do need to know the regulations.

the only place i have seen a house on every 1/4 is hobby farmers and acreages outside city's.

I never said that there was a house or corral on every 1/4,but where I hunt, there is often a house every two or three miles,so it can be a factor. It is primarily a grain farming area, not a cattle ranching area,so many farms are only a couple of sections in size.

My family owned the John Deere dealership for many years,so we were invited to hunt virtually anywhere we chose, but we still used respect and didn't hunt on land unless we had permission to.However some people had no respect, they drove on crops and left gates open or even cut fences to gain access if the gates were chained.Because of those people, some landowners started posting their land.It only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone.

Most of the road and quad type hunters I've seen are half my age and at least 50 pounds overweight. Further, most provinces now have physically disabled hunter regulations pertaining to shooting from or using a motorized vehicle for the purpose of searching for game. Still this does not mean one can shoot at game from built up roads or on private property if permission has not been granted...except it seems in Saskatchewan ...

Sounds like a bunch of you guys should go hug in the bush "Broke Back Style" lol Ethics..f**kin ban that word. If any of you guys want to tell me about how to hunt or where, I will be in P.A for the next month..so you can come tell me face to face.

How about you keep your ways of hunting............and we will stay with our ethical way of hunting.
I hope you take alot of pride in all the animals you harvest........I am pretty damn sure I couldn't.

No I don't take pride..and not every animal I have shot has been by road hunting..but I don't need to take s**t from you or anyone else saying it's unethical because there is nothing unethical about it. You and your ethics crony's are the ones being unethical, by calling some else down for a style of hunting.
