SCAR vs ACR a comparison

I'm sure there are disadvantages to just about any platform but people really love to hate on this one. All I know is I've got one on pre-order and have been eagerly waiting for it to get into the country for some time before the pre-order started. When it arrives I plan to shoot the bejesus out of it with a big smile on my face and judge for myself just how good/bad the gun turns out to be . I'll be sure to find one of these threads and let people know : P

The majority of gripes have nothing to do with the rifle itself, but merely the price. Drop it by $1k and all the haters will be drinking the ACR kool-aid. :)

Lighter Barrel and a price drop and I will drink the Koolaid. :)

Personally I don't mind the heavier barrel, providing it has a benefit such as more accurate and better cooling/staying cool longer. I'm looking forward to see which one is more accurate.

So far one of the best threads here on CGN. Excellent videos.

By the way the Tavor does rock ;).

Regarding to the safety selector for ACR:

I am a lefty and whatever AR I own I always replace the safety with an ambi one. And the ambi safety will always stretch my hand when I change to fire mode ( I use KAC ambi safety). So I will just say that it is normal for an amibi safety. If you use it a lot you will get use to it.

I know that Scar does not have this problem. But the safety actually turns less than 90 degree to change to fire mode. So it does not touch the hand. But I also hear complains that it is harder to distinguish fire mode or safe mode since the selector turn less than 90 degree.

So I will say that for both guns we have something to get use to. In the beginning yes it is a bit annoying but it is not a really big issue.

Maybe Magpul will come out with a replacement one for the ACR like they did for the SCAR.

Somebody say Tavor? :(
I picked my enhanced ACR up for under $1800. They are definitely getting cheaper. Now if we could get a damn Tavor I'll die happy.
I'm not too crazy about the SCAR. Ehh nope not at all
