Non of you will get the scar. Get over it you gun maniacs (hmm new website).
The sponsors will let everyone know when they can get their deposits back. There's always the bushmaster acr which might make it here.
I am still waiting.
and you'll be still waiting next 2-3-4-5.... years. eh oh el
Care to make a friendly wager on that...?
sure, but let's keep it low as I don't have much $$$.
$20 by emt if the scar is available in Canada one year from today.
I can't wait a year!!![]()
All i want is a 17 with a 20" barrel, if their's a God please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blaxsun, what are your thoughts on the Bushmaster ACR ? are you confident that this rifle will be available to us nutz in the near future?
Well, the key issues that people seem to have with the ACR is that it's over-priced, no chrome-lined barrel, heavier, not combat proven, the recent recall and that only the fixed stock version (apparently) will be available. On the flip-side, there's little to no recoil, it's multi-calibre and the barrel is forged nitride coated (which may last longer and be more accurate). And I have to admit, I'm somewhat of a Magpul whore...![]()

I think they're going to be fairly comparable as next-gen rifles. The SCAR is here pending approval; the ACR is pending review. Barring some reclassification, I don't think it's unrealistic to think we might see the ACR for next Summer (this is just my best WAG).

X 2
Still wondering how they made it by Customs? with no FRT?

After getting conflicting answers from Questar, I emailed FN Herstal directly asking if we would ever be able to get the scars directly from Belgium and bypassing the US crap...here's the response.. Maybe a few more emails to them might show that there is a worthwhile interest from Canadian customers.
Hello Sir,
Thanks for your interest in our products.
To the best of our knowledge, the interdiction has not yet been officially communicated.
Also, questions remain about limitation in time.
Maybe do you have further information.
What I can tell you is that the Canadian market is managed from Belgium and not from the US.
We are currently working on updating our distribution network and in the perspective, the supply of civilian SCAR has been taken into account.
I regretfully can not give you any lead-time for the implementation since it is still at the project stage.
Regards
