Schmidt and Bender Klassik - cheaper in Canada than the US??

I have many good scopes. I have a couple Schmidt, a Zenith I took to Africa, and a nice fixed. I don't buy based off warranty. If I had to pay to get one fixed I would, wouldn't bother me a bit. They aren't perfect, but rugged and great glass is what I wanted.

The Schmidt Hungarian scope looks very nice, and at a great price!

... But there is a direct corrolation between price and quality... 1+1=2.... When i want no troubles and the best for my old eyes, i dont try to save a few dinares, i buy a Schmidt. YMMV.:ar15:

we all learnt from our mystakes. i used a meopta 2000 7x50 with german 4 reticle for high seat night hunting i never felt underscoped compared to the big 3 ... it worked for me while friends needed service.
 
Meopta is hard to find in any quantity here. I want to scope my Brno Effect with one is a 5x or 6x fixed power. Sorry to hijack thread ... Please continue. :)

To a point, yes, but with many brands you are paying for the name. I always find it interesting how reluctant scope manufacturers are to identify their suppliers and specifications, while manufacturers of cameras and telescopes have no such reservations.

who makes castings for Zeiss, Swarovski and Schmidtys

who makes switch gears and turret Internals for them?

its all a game and we are suckers for brand names

this thread is getting no where

basically it comes down to money

they are dam expensive and we shooters don’t want to pay it

if we buy it we demand it to last for 3 generations

and also “my choice” is the only choice and “you” should follow me
