Well, I had to get off early from work to check out my new scope. Last thursday I had ordered a PMII with mrad turrets, CW double turn turrets with P4L Fine reticle. Long story short they sent it wrong speed of shipping, and then proceeded to refund shipping costs. So I finally got it today... Opened it up....





Wait a minute... Are those locking turrets??? I didn't order locking turrets.....



Yes they are locking turrets!! Seems I just got a MTC and LT for free?!?!?! Confirmed the product number on box matches my invoice.. So they didn't send or bill me for the wrong product. Not sure how to feel....

The clarity is AMAZING, I wish I still had my Zeiss to compare too. But god damn does this ever look clear.. I scoped out a building that was ~1600 meters away, with the zeiss it was cloudy, with the schmidt... its amazingly clear.



One issue I'm fairly sure is a non-issue, the double turn indicator pop's up after going past 0 (technically 14.1, from 13). Yet I can't go below 13.7 mil, would this have to be with the scope set at a 'zero' from factory? I really hope nothing is wrong with this scope....
 
On both my 5-25's with the MTC locking turrets the 2nd rev indicator rises and falls within 12.9mil to 13.5mil.
I wouldn't worry about anything yet. Get it mounted and zeroed before reading too much into it.

Zeroing the MTC turrets for the first time is going to mess with your mind. They still "click" when the turret is slipped despite having the set screws fully disengaged.

I figured it out, loosened the set screws, pulled up. Then magically after letting go it was working as it should... Now to wait for that Spuhr mount........

If your scope comes with MTC and LT the owners manual would reflect that right? The manual that came with my scope (matches serial#) is for double turn or multi turn, no mention of MTC or LT.

I don't think so, but cant be sure.. I think all the holes have a bit of a relief.... But I was more focused on optical clarity than the scopes exterior.. Will look in depth at the finish this afternoon.
 
I have found out, that the day you enter the S&B world you may look at other products but you seldon go to them... My 0.02... JP.

The rail has a 20 moa cant, I can always buy a 40 moa rail if I want or need to shoot past 1000m. For the height it was the only size that would clear the 62mm OD of the 56mm objective

It will be fun if it gets delivered today (hopefully someone is home), if no one home hopefully it transfers in evening otherwise this will be the biggest torture of a long weekend!

I paid 3850, plus gst. So 4063.50 with tax and shipping (which was refunded). The new imports will be expensiver id think.

I could have bought a modern hunter. But this glass is so worth it! I dont think I can go back to lower-end glass now. Just like the car I've spoiled myself at a young age, I wouldn't want any less than a luxury car.
