Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56mm Unboxing!

Just got mine in! Was happy enough with my Vortex Viper PST but figured I should buy once cry once.

I have the 3.27 X 56 PM11 on my MRAD wiyh P4f..no problems to date.

When you zero to 100 m and set MTC turrets don't be surprised if its not quite "0" but -2 or -3 indicated...quite common..enjoy.

That's an Accuracy 1st anti cant level. I have one and really like it. They use a ceramic ball rather than an air bubble which decreases the "jumpiness" of an air bubble. They also come with reducing rings, so if you ever moved it from a 34 to a 30mm you don't have to but another one.

Just zeroed mine today...what an adventure...lol

Same deal as yours, hitting extremely low with the scope on the factory zero...put 8.1 mils on and 1 mil right to get it zeroed. Didn't bother resetting the turrets until I got home as I was in a rush. Once the turrets were zeroed IAW the manual, i began trying to understand the zero-stop and how I would dial below zero (and the .3mil buffer) should I throw the 260 barrel on, or move to another gun. Well after lots of unscrewing, turret twisting, and fiddling, I am hoping that the scope is still on zero when I head back out! Still have 20.9mils on the turret so that should be more than enough.

I think I "get it" now, and it really is a simple idea...but trying to work through it in my head has definitely been an adventures

I suppose the pmii were designed for 44.4 moa rails, I have a 20 moa rail and I get 22.9 mrad of elev. I bet if i had a 40 moa rail the scope would be zerod with full elev.

20MOA = about 5.8mils, so it would definitely put you over the 2 full turns. For the calibers I'm shooting right now (308/260), with the 21mrad in the scope and 25mrad of holdover in the H59 reticle...im not too concerned. Maybe when I move into something more exotic and longer (and move out west...lol)

Took my new-to-me .338 with the S&B PMII 12-50 out yesterday to sight it in quick. Recoil is really manageable, even with the 300gr's.

Bore-sighted it first, found the laser showing about 6" high, and couldn't get anymore clicks to bring the crosshairs to the beam - I was having flashbacks of your posts above!!!

Light was fading, so I put a couple down range. The first was a flyer, part CCB, and part me being scared of taking the short eye relief scope in the eyebrow!!! I started on 12x and made my way up to 40-ish with no kisses, and much to my pleasant surprise it was more or less on target in it's NEAR mount from the previous owner!!! A couple clicks left, a reset of the windage turret to zero, and I'm laughing!!!

I've put up another thread about my reticle. I've had a roller coaster of emotions about it over the past week. As far as I can tell there is not a S&B diagram for my reticle, and I've been trying to figure out what my subtensions are. I've gone from thinking it's an MOA-click/MRAD reticle scope (which would kind of suck), to thinking that I got taken and it's a fraud, and now today I'm pretty sure I've figured it out. As far as I can tell it's MOA clicks and MOA reticle.

I hope like hell that it doesn't start to bump my forehead on 50x!!!
