Is there a dealer in Canada for these awesome rifles???

I see in Australia a dealer has been bringing them in and apparently they are a smash hit similar in quality and price to a sako

Tagged for interest. I used to own a Shultz and Larsen rifle in the obscure 7x61 S&H (Sharpe & Hart) that I had rechambered to a 7mm Rem mag. Excellent quality rifle. One of those rifles I wished I'd have kept...

What? Did i read this right? You got it rechambered to a....gulp..... 7mm rem mag....? Really? Dude.....

Dooooood......yer hert'in me feel'ins.

Schultz $ Larsen

Quality at a reasonable price.

I will send them a e-mail and see what they say, if there is no distributor in Canada then one would have to go through a importer gun broker type of service. i would realy like one in 6.5x55 or the 7X61 S&H

The Schultz & Larsen is a very fine rifle and my favorite bolt action, as a number of people here already know. Quality is top of the line. There's actually three calibres I want the Schultz & Larsen in, the first two I have, the 7x61 S&H in a model 68DL and a 308 Norma Magnum in a model 65DL.

Down the road I would like to complete the trio of co-operation between S&L and Norma and get one in 358 Norma Magnum.

There is a gentleman on this site that is very knowledgeable when it comes to Schultz & Larsen rifles as he is a collector of them. dwh44, here on Vancouver Island.

In addition, google the website. Info there may help you out.

Word 'looky. Word. An off topic but what do you think about a BLR in .358? I know it's straight outta left field and only weirdos have them but i've been thinking about becoming a weirdo and getting one. :D

As I made mention of previously, there's only three I want, two down and one to go, that being one in 358 NM. I do have that calibre in a model 1651 Husqvarna which will tide me over until I find that calibre in a S&L. One of the items I need to make my life complete.

Even when I find a S&L, I 'may' keep the Husqvarna as well. Too pretty to part with.

Since 'looky is not here with us right now, may i attempt to say something on his behalf? Achem. That deres one puuuurdy lukin' ryfle johnn. Uh cans be undurstndins why you be lukin' fur a tree fave 8 made by dat dere schoots & lersens but thaet ol huskie is chure a faine peace o' werk. :p

Now that 'looky has said his peice, i'll echo his statement. Dat shures a fyne rifle johnn. Fyne riffle indeeaedaed.

I looked into them a few years ago. IIRC they were around $3000 or so.

Yes, from what I've seen, the new ones are very pricey and hard to get. The first S&L iI saw, many years ago and a little southeast of where you're located, was one in 308NM that an old European gunsmith in the area had. His take on what made S&L the rifle it is was the quality of workmanship and fit but especially the quality of their barrels,

Yes, pretty it is and shoots well, but I still want a Schultz in 358NM. 'Looky' has a Schultz, you should get one too and join the 'club'.

Hookay, now you josttled me sleep..........

I bought this BLR 358win at the last years Salmon Arm gun show.
I really enjoy this gal and she's fun to shoot too.
I am amazed at how well she makes me looky with the round holes
that appear on the targets.
I have played with the 180, 200 and 250 grain bullet reloads.
My flavor is the 180's, but I get urged to use the 200's.
My ammo belt seems to garner attention when I meet up with other
hunters out in the bush.
WTF is that? is usually the first question.
The 4200 Elite crowds the top, once lookying down through it, the massive
size is forgiven.
I put on her a 2.5-10x50 and I really don't give a bust'in tewt how some
hate the Bushnell's. This one works for me.......crappy shoot'in eye and all.
There has been talk of the horrible triggers these gal have, but I am almost
certain mine has been worked. I hate horrible triggers and this one passes
the looky test.
These are fine rifles and I don't think you'll regret owning one.
Worst you can do is toss her back up on the EE and regret selling her.
Now back to the Schultz's.
The gent I bought this BLR has a Model 68DL in the true 7mm mag.
He had it on his table at this years Salmon Arm gun show.
If anyone here is looking for one, p.m. me and I'll go find his contact
info. His up for sale was in great condition. So much so that I didn't
fondle her for fear of her coming home with me.
These are the nicest rifles for the kerch$ng.

When Roy Weatherby quit using FN actions he commissioned Schultz & Larsen to build 378 Weatherby Magnums utilizing their Model 54 bolt action. The rifle impressed Weatherby so much that when he designed the Mark V action he utilized similar gas escape ports in the bolt and the low bolt lift .

This is my 54j in 7 x 61 S&H. It was built in 1953 and was one of the first of the sporting rifles built by S&L when they expanded their production to include more than dedicated target rifles. It is a very early model and retains the ####-on-closing bolt and single-stack magazine.

The last time I was at the range with this rifle it put 3 139 grain SP bullets into a 3/4" group at 200 yards. Over the last 40-some years I have owned well over 100 different rifles and not a single one had a trigger as crisp and clean as this near-60 year old rifle.

The cross-pins were added to added to stop a tang-crack from spreading.

Another 'club' member!! Very nice and thanks for sharing. Accuracy wise, they do perform well.

Changing over to Barnes TTSX in a few calibres and with the 7x61S&H, I've got the 120gr doing well but there's more to be done with the 140gr, the weight I'd prefer to use.

After I retired, as a transition to full retirement, I used to go in and work the odd maintenance shutdown locally. On one such S/D I met a guy up from the states who did the same and happened also to be a Schultz & Larsen fan. Shortly after a S/D we worked, following his return home he sent me a copy of the expanded 4th edition of Bolt Action Rifles. It has an excellant article on the Schultz & Larsen rifles and their development.

I was just up your way for a speed trip visit to my young son in Horsefly. I didn't have time to give you a shout on my way through but I'll try and do so on my next trip.
