I ended up going to a local hunting store and picking up some Weaver rings. They cost more some other places that carried it, but the owners of the store were pretty helpful so I ended up getting them. Installation with these new rings went much smoother, although I did carelessly end up making two-three scratches on the scope in haste. Since it is a cheap scope, I dont really care. What can I put over the scratches to prevent rusting?
