LOL, thanks that makes me feel better. I'm planning on dropping this in Cadex , with and adjustable stock .That's cuz you have your tuque.......... Just saying a bit of a rearward scope mount is fine ....... My vortex on the scout has 4 inches of eye relief and I was able to mount the scope more forward to balance the weight...... That being said, the scout has spacers to adjust lop.....

I got bit twice and felt the scope come pretty close , quite a few times . I have a cheap bushnell mounted on a 7mm and had about 75 test loads to get done. I'm in the market for a new scope and clarity was # 1 on my list with the budget I have.($1000 ish). Now eye relief is important to me also. I've been looking at the Veracity 3-15/4-20. Any other thoughts ? Gun is T3 HB 7MM Rm and will be used for target shooting out to 4 or 5 hundred yards and a fall moose hunt . Thanks for any insight.View attachment 46877
I too think it's your shooting technique. Also scope needs to be mounted as far forward as possible and while still giving full/clear view.A brake will reduce the recoil but it sounds like you need to work on your technique a bit and use your body to absorb the recoil and travel back with the scope as it recoils.
ThanksMy thoughts:
1. If you continued to shoot and got a sub MOA group after getting kissed, you're mental toughness is better than mine!!
2. Something absolutely ain't right with how that scope is mounted.
3. Something ain't right if this thing is biting you. I can shoot my .338LM with my 12-50 dialled up to 40-50 and not get kissed.
4. I'm a long armed 6'1" and I have to add LOP to all of my rifles, including my T3's. A slip on Pachmayr decelerator is all I use. I couldn't believe how it shorted out my cheek weld issues. Might be worth a try. You could always return it. You could try an add on cheek rest as well and see what it does for you. I didn't need that on my T3, but I sure did on my precision guns.
Eye relief and fit is very different from standing to bench to prone. I decide what that rifle is to be used for, and mount the scope accordingly.
5. You're a big man for admitting what happened and seeking help on a forum where most first criticize, then mock, then MAYBE help.... everyone was very civil!!!
6. Get you finger off the trigger!!! (In your pics)
7. Good toque, eh?

Maybe I should put a pad on my forehead ?
I'm going to try and get the bipod higher, so I can sit with my back straight instead of having to hunch over. That should help.
Havnt tryed a front bag but it do jump quite bit . That's why i was thing if adding a brake.Hah, there's an idea. You get knocked a couple more times in the head you might just turn into Hawkins .....
I mean become very smart of course.
I wonder if the bipod is making your rifle jump more. Do you get the same recoil travel shooting from a bag ?
