You may also want to get rings that allow you to adjust for windage and elevation. I put a set of those on my brno 22 and I was able to roughly dial it in with them first and then fine tune it with the scope knobs. Worked great. I wouldn't trust the rings on anything larger than a 22 though.
I also put on a cheap ($80) 2.5 - 10 Tasco varmint scope with AO on the rifle. Not fance or flashy, but once set up I cut a fly in half at 50 yards (on purpose and everything). This set up let's me march out to 100 yards with no problem.
I found with the Brno and CZ they tend to like the cheap Federal ammo. 38 gr HP. I bought some $$$ ammo one time and it didn't do much. Could be just me though.
