Well, pics on Ruger site looks like the rail is 'part of' the recvr. I think trying the 'shim threads' I suggested is his only option other than trading for a better rifle.

Well it's not and is completely removable.

***Oh and Ruger lists a 0 moa rail as well as a 30 moa for said rifle. I'm sure someone makes a base that's 10 or 20
