I bought a bushnell .22 rimfile scope from Reliable Guns (see http://www.reliablegun.com/Reliable.html) a few days ago. After a few hundred rounds on the shooting range, the reticle crosshair was broken (disconnected) in the middle, and the reticle itself rotated 45 degrees.
I went back to the shop, asking for a replacement. They refused and asked me to deal with Bushnell service directly. To do so, I need to package and mail the broken scope with a $10 check.
I paid $79.99 for this. I checked Bushnell website, the list price there is only $53.99. So I overpaid and I can't get a service I deserve from a retail shop! I should have checked a few other gunshops before I rush to buy stuff.
I'm new to this shooting sport. Do all the gun retail shops ask their customers to deal with manufacturers directly? Even within just a few days of purchase?
