Scope?

I'm a big fan of Leupold scopes, though I've only owned them and Bushnell. X2 on vxII 2-7, it's an outstanding scope - get one with the long range reticle if you plan on some farther out shots and you're well prepared.

One more vote for the Leupold VX-II in 2-7X.

A 7X scope at 350 yards is like open sights at 50 yards. Unless you know you are going to shoot beyond 350 yards, I would go for the 2-7X. When hunting in the woods, I leave mine at 2X most of the time.

We all tend to be overmagnified and underscoped.

I'm a 100% Leupold fan, I have 3x9x40 on many of my hunting rifles, and other sizes on other guns, but they are all Leupold scopes. I have one Burris and one Redfield and one Elite that are not asigned to any perticular rifle, I just use them to temporarily testfire a new arrival.
