Scoped my Merkel Double 470 NE....Photos Up !!!!

Thanks for all the great comments guys, it turned out better looking and better performing than even my relatively high expectations imagined.
No immediate plans for it's appropriate use, but endless fantasies that may or may not come to fruition..........elephant cull..........dry ground hippo hunt..........buffalo cull..........rhino hunt..........and on, and on, and on...........

When are we going to see a Bobbie target?

That looks really solid. I wouldn't worry about removing the scope... on 1 power it's as good as irons and if it's so close you have scope sighting problems use it like a shotgun. I believe that rifle would be painful to shoot regardless of the chosen bullet weight... but then I have a screwed up shoulder. My 7mm08 and 270 hurt.

i should have ask you Doug few weeks ago when i saw you ... i needed something for my baikal express lol .... if a Merkel is a tool, a baikal is a piece of Transiberian railroad lol ... glad it worked out well.

The install looks very good. Scope sits on the rifle nicely with decent eye relief.

However, you have a net worth greater than most third world countries and you're using a sharpie on a paper scrap for targets!!!???

What can I say, I custom make each set of targets for each application.........or I couldn't find my targets and it's 30 miles to town........or, maybe I'm just thrifty (cheap)
