Scoping the lott

Got a 77 that'll never see Africa again so figured I'd have some fun. Designed a 520 grain cast that will pop .75 at 70 with the sights. Would like to scope. Figure it'll be a one holder but it backs up way to much for the 3.5 to 4 inch scopes. Bushnell trophy does an 8 inch. Will I take it apart? 68 of 4895 is stiff. No I won't reduce. I know lots of guys running a pinch of pistol powder at 1200 fps,,,,not for me I have a lever in 45 colt.
Thoughts?

A Bushnell Trophy on a 458 Lott with full on loads? Should work fine. Right up until the shot that breaks it.

The Leupold VX-3 1.5-5x on my 458 Lott continues to hold together just fine so far.

I have a vx3 2.5-8 on one. No issues

Depends on the shooter. Here's how a 500gr bullet at 2000 fps muzzle speed from my 458 Win. Mag. recoils. Not excessive. A couple of hundred fps more isn't much different.

Nikon has/had a scope similar to the leupy vx3 1.5-5. Not sure about its eye relief though.

Doubtful...unless your technique sucks. Douglas hasn't managed to put one through his head on his 470 NE.

Nikon Monarch African 1-4x20 Dangerous Game scope - 4 inches of eye relief. Seems to handle the recoil of my 45-70 so far.......
