Thinking about Getting a Scorpion Scope for my Varmint Rig. Probably something in the 4x16 power range. Ive got leupolds and Nikons on other rifles but just thought perhaps Id try something different.

Thoughts on these scopes please.

There are tons of Chinese optics suppliers(parts or whole) and it is apparently not hard to start your own optics brand utilizing theses sources.A few names come to mind. Some are decent but most are not. Having said that, there is definitely a price ceiling on what i would pay for a chinese optic and some models of scorpion definitelty exceed it. Haven't tried the brand but have heard and read more negative than positive. That usually is enough to steer me away.If i was looking for an inexpensive scope for a light kicking varmint rifle, i would check out Mueller. They are available on Amazon.ca now without the usual gouging markup that comes with buying in Canada.

They are great, same glass as S&B and the same tube as Zeiss...
IIRC, they also use a very similar turret as Premier scopes.

JUNK!

I've got a Meuller 8-32 on my 10/22 and I've got a Scorpion copper head 4-16 on my Savage BSEV. Had them both for about 2 years now and 0 problems. Shot 1000's of rounds through both guns in all temps and not an issue. Cheap glass for plinking with 22lr.......good combination in my book.

how have people not heard of scorpion optics? you cant watch wild tv without seeing their ads over and over. would I buy one? lmao...NO
