I thought you just used the shiny ejector marks on the case heads to tell how many times you'd reloaded your brass!

You're a funny guy.................that one really did make me LMFAO............I appreciate a good sense of humor. I only use the "ejector mark count" on my bolt guns, I have about 70 old Winchester lever guns I load for and this method just isn't feasible for them.
