Hello,

Using my Lee Hand Press and 4 die pistol set, I loaded 3 rounds during the last few minutes of lunch.

I messed up, as I do quite often - but I'm not sure how unsafe it is to carry on. Here's my problems:

1. After seating/crimping the bullet into the case, I can "spin" the bullet around. I can't pull it out by hand, but it does spin in the case. I think because I didn't seat it far enough when I crimped it, then tried to seat it a bit deeper. My question is, can this be fixed without pulling the bullet? Is it unsafe to try to shoot it?

2. My crimp was too much and there was a bulge in the case under where the bullet is. Can this be fixed as well? If I run it through my factory crimping die, there's still a bulge, but can I still shoot it safely?

Thanks in advance?

Not enough information,but...

9 mm?

The problem of bulging the case is that it may not chamber.Which means, demount and start over.

The problem of the round not being crimped correctly is worse.Depending on the pistol you try to use it in,you will have minor to serious malfunctions.

Why are you making a few rounds after lunch?

If you have any doubt about your reloads' quality, demount them and start again.

Fire them

..if they are not too far out of spec, try shooting them, but not through the mag, chamber individually. The poorly crimped rounds will surface as problems if they wait around in a mag and sustain recoil from the preceding rounds that do fire.
