I got my first M-14 fiberglass stock a few weeks back. Being a total newbie to stockwork, I read Skullboy and some other posters tips. The first attempt wasn't to shabby. The selector hole had some shrink at the top as Skullboy showed in his pics. I tried using the glasing putty, and while it worked, I wasn't thrilled with the product.
On this second stock, I did a bit more trial and error to create better formed dams. Also, instead of using glasing putty to take care of shrink, I just whipped up a smaller batch of JB Weld and filled it in.
We'll see what it looks like in the morning.
