Seeking help to fix heat 'over'treated brass!!

Just ask yourself if your vision is worth $50.00 or so.

Just chuck the damn stuff in the recycle pile and chalk it up as an inexpensive life-lesson.

308 brass can be subject to 40-55000 PSI

Crunch the mouth of the case with a pair of pliers and recycle the brass

I don't want to be sitting beside you when you let one off

s**t. s**t! I hate throwing out otherwise perfectly good brass.

...what if I tried to get one more shot out of them? Is this kind of thing dangerous even for one more firing?

Obviously what I do is my own decision, and I would be watching for signs of early failure most definitely!, but I can't bear to chuck this brass. Tho' I must..... dammit! :(

Thanks all for your support

1. It's not perfectly good brass anymore, you ruined it.

2. Yes it's dangerous for one more firing. An overannealed case won't contain the pressure for one shot let alone multiple firings.

3. You won't need to watch for signs of early failure. That will be blindingly obvious when the case explodes and drives bits of brass into your face and arms at 55,000 psi.
