followed closely by...

original Sudanese contract AR-10 .308 c/w 4 waffle mags...(large sob of regret!)

at the time-it seemed right...

never regretted selling any gun to date......but i know i would regret selling my four favorites, as those are probably the only guns i couldnt replace if i sold them. everything else is expendable
 
My Colt .Python 357, my Colt AR 15 with the custom barrell..... and every other gun I ever sold!
Asked my wife the other day how EMT worked if I sold something and she said. "wouldn't know" all you ever do is buy!!! I had to admit that was right but at least no sellers remorse that way.:D

That was dumb.

I don't regret selling any of my rifles but for my 16th birthday I was given the choice of any of my Dad's rifles. I chose his Sako 30-06. Interestingly enough my brother also took one of Dad's 30-06s. Anyhow, I traded the rifle back to Dad a few years later because I needed more power and took his M70 Classic Super Grade in 300WM. The rifle never shot worth a damn and I eventually had it rebarreled. But I still wish I had kept that Sako. Fortunately, I still know where it is...
 
The one that sticks in my mind the most is a Pre'64 Model 70 in 300 Win Mag,...these were a one year only deal in '63....then a Sako L61R in 7 Rem Mag from 1966 with a 2-7 Kahles scope with a 26mm tube in 26mm Sako rings........
 
An old hunk of junk 12 g SXS with external hammers---- it was a Remington, but I believe it was manufactured for Sears (could be wrong --- just the story I was told). Gave it to my sister to hold on to when I moved, who had lent it to her husband to go hunting with. They subsequently divorced, and he took the shotgun with him. Neither of them claimed an interest in it when my father died, but neither feels that it should be given back to me either.

I should have known better anyway ---- there was a host of issues after my dad died too --- this was just the finale.

I balanced the thought of that against the "is-it-worth-it?" argument. The dollar value of the gun was minimal, and aside from the fact it belonged to my dad (who only hunted for a couple of years shortly after I was born), it didn't have a whole lot of sentimental value. I was just more PO'd that my SISTER would be such a bonehead about the it. I have a HARD time defending her as a relative of mine, and I'll just let karma do the rest.

Besides, I could think of MANY more things I'd rather do with Reese Witherspoon than fetch a shotgun!!
