Sellier & Bellot .22 LR Canadian Match Standard Velocity Target 40gr LRN

Shot about 300 so far out of a CZ457, not as many fliers as expected, still 1-2 out of a 10rd group, but not too terrible for the price. I have some SK that is a fair bit worse. I have had worse than the S&B stuff, for a lot more money.

Hmmm, They never stay in the chamber, at least not so far,
I get stovepipes and the last time out those combined with (or resulted in) feed issues so the new round got side jammed into the chamber.
On average, i would say at least once on every 10 rounds. Some whole mags would be fine, other times two FTF's in one mag.

In my experience, match type chambers may or may not have feeding/extraction issues. My Green Mountain barrel has no problems. The DLASK, a minor extraction issue.

I shot a brick of it in my Rim X with Euchus chamber. I only chronographed 10rds while I was sighting in. Was averaging 1165fps. No extraction issues, no FTF. It is not lot tested match ammo. It is beggars can't be choosers ammo.

My problem is this ammo is marketed as "Canadian Match". I don't buy it, and I won't buy anymore.

Price was 5.99 a few months ago now it's 9.99.
I should be buying , holding and selling

Ammo is outperforming my pension fund in returns, LOL

Very Noice shooting. Especially in those conditions.

I have a very similar rifle. (CZ457 VArmint 16" in MDT XRS) Do you find the tuna can particularly useful? know where I can get one?[/QUOTE]

The Tuna Can is both a positive and a negative. It’s positives outweigh the negatives in my opinion but it’s not for everyone. It is not a set it and forget it situation. You may need to do a slight retune when temp changes and you’ll def have to retune when changing ammo.
I shift between CCI SV, S&B Can Match, & SK Rifle Match all in a given week depending on what I’m doing. I keep track of each tuner value for each ammo type and am able to get right back to the accuracy advantages it gives me so long as I start with a clean barrel and send fouling rounds down the pipe. The Tuna Can requires cleaning which many dislike, myself included. Womfat aka Matt Hui has set the standard of 500 rounds down the pipe before cleaning which I follow. Before I did this the Tuna Can was an absolute pain to keep clean.

As Jerry from Mystic Precision has laid out many of times, with 22lr we are at the mercy of ammo quality. Some ammo’s preform better than others in certain rifles but if you can’t get this ammo or it’s out of the price bracket your willing to spend the tuna can becomes your best friend.

If you find a great lot of ammo that has low SD/ES but doesn’t group as well as you’d like, the tuna can will bring that in tighter for you. The only thing else it’s capable of is adding weight to the front end which I also find to be a positive. There’s a great video on YouTube that explains the gains with metrics to prove it.

I'm hovering around 500 rounds of this stuff through my Savage Arms Mark II G and it works like a charm. I might have had 1 failure to eject vs CCI ammo, fails to eject 1 out of 2.
Wish they sold it by the pail.

Feeding is important; if your rifle is not ejecting CCI well, then you have a rifle problem.

Is it accurate?

3 pages of posts with answers to your questions.

Looks like it’s on par with CCI standard velocity. Which is what i figured it would compare too

Me and my brother are going to compare it for ourselves shortly
I read it, last post was in 2022. Updates?

Is this stuff better or worse than the norma red box tactical?

I have yet to find a lot of S&B that shot as well as the lots I had in 2022. Lot 136-21 to be exact. Not sure if the last two numbers indicate year. Last lots I tried were -22. Your mileage may very.
First lot was 1130fps avg. Later lots were averaging 1175fps. Hella Quick.

Interested to hear others on this.

I've shot it out of a bunch of 22's (t1x,452, TM22, Cz P09 Kadet Pistol) with no reliability issues. It won't shoot groups like CCI standard but not bad at all.
