Selling my AR15 to an American?

I don’t think you can. You can’t import a rifle that’s been exported from the USA. I believe the Canadian gov also has to approve. I hope someone with more knowledge than I will stop by and answer your questions. I have very little knowledge in this area.

Simple answer is no ! The only way I have heard is if you bought it from irunguns and they imported it they can take it back and export it back to themselves. That might have changed or something tho. Trudeau and Blair have no clue when they gave that as an option because it's almost impossible to do

^^^^This. US law prohibits the importation of American-manufactured firearms for some strange reason.

On a related note then - a buddy of mine is considering moving to the US for work. He has a number of American-made guns amongst his collection. Can he bring them with him if he moves to the US?? He was also considering selling his ARs to his cousin in Texas if the move to the US doesn't happen. He was just asking me about whether either of these was possible the other day, and I had no clue, as I'm not at all familiar with US gun law. Anyone know more than I do?

Their people know, the thing is the average Liberal voter does not know and will never know. They gave this option to be sound bite and it will stick because it we don't have the communications machine to challenge it.

The same way that CBC had the sound bite that many of the gang guns had been legal here in Canada.

We know both of these aren't true but we are pissing in the wind.

So it was false info about selling to an american? so i'm stuck with a paperweight i don't even want for 2 years. Stupid liberals, they should have had their stupid buyback already in place when they banned them.

LOL you must be that one guy the CBC is using as the majority of Canadian gun owners who want to sell their firearms to the government..................................................... So you have a $500 rifle that's cute ................................ Taxpayers would be forking over to me at minimum 50k for the stuff I own and I don't even think I have much stuff there are guys who have $20,000+ rifles that they cannot sell or shoot. I think you need to actually sit down and realize the kind of money that is going to be involved in a so called buy back.

So because I can't afford to waste $700 im rolling over? I'm glad you can afford to throw away $700 on something you can't use, I had to save up to buy it, I don't have a lot of money, and not only can I not use it i can't sell it or get a cent back.

Assuming they will pay fair market value...

I'm betting it will be more like pennies on the dollar.
