Selling my AR15 to an American?

Well what can we tell you dude the Liberals are the biggest morons on earth and nothing that they have ever said is true and they would mess up a 2 man stone throw if they had 2 people and a rock ! We do feel bad your stuck with a gun you cannot sell there is a hundreds of thousands of people in the exact same position as you with pretty much all of the sitting on firearms and parts far exceeding the value of what you have so we feel for you but your not really going to find much sympathy as we are being bent over and violated 10000 times harder then you are. Sorry but hopefully the courts will have some sense and throw this out and we can get back to enjoying our property

Chill dude. Just sit on it and see how this plays out. I know you'd like the money but you're in the same boat/canoe as the rest of us. It's an investment. There's a lot of irons in the fire on our side. In the meantime, join the CCFR, write letters to MPs, etc... Check out the firearms politics forum on this site. Have a beer.

You certainly aren’t helping bro. No one is judging you but you need to understand that the issue is not your wallet but the erosion of your liberties - which I gather you feel is worth no more to you than $800 bucks. That is sadness man.

dude, it's over, it's not getting overturned, some people here are in severe denial. 90% of Canadians don't want us to have the ar and don't care that we are having our property stolen, most judges and politicians also do not care. By the time the liberals are finally voted out, everyone will have forgotten and moved on. All I posted was that if they're doing a buyback just do it already and I get told that i'm rolling over to trudeau. It's just a gun, we lost, it's over, people need to quit crying and accept it, I've moved on with my life..

There has been an awful lot of drama and angst over a $700 investment expressed in this thread. As I see it, this Is not about rich pr#cks versus EI bums so much as it is a cautionary tale about the dangers of living beyond your means, whatever your personal threshold happens to be. I have an awful lot of skin in this game, but unlike YYC_Gun_Dude I am not (yet) in urgent need of the funds that my investment represents. That's the difference - I have never over-extended myself financially for the sake of the hobby. I'm willing to bet that YYC is learning a very valuable lesson about priorities because of this. It sucks, but the most valuable lessons seldom come cheap. Let's just hope that wiser judicial minds than those of the government strike down the inane OIC so that we can all stop worrying and get back to our love of the black gun sports.

Okay here’s the deal:

1. Contact IRG. If you can get them in the phone or via email. They seem to rarely answer.
2. Contact a reputable shop in the states with an FFL.
3. Go vote out the buttheads who stole your property value.
4. Support the number challenges ongoing now in the courts, or start a grassroots campaign yourself.

That’s about it. Libs knew what they did and that export is not an option even for your LGS. The reality is you are out of pocket any monies you’ve spent on this sport, full stop. It sucks for everybody that the government has effectively made all gun owners poor and, once the amnesty is up, full on paper criminals.

Don't get mad at me I didn't make your property unusable or unsellable but ya your out a single rifle and 700 bucks so that sucks for sure but there are people on here out a heck of a lot more and we are also mad. But the main point is your in the very very very very very very small minority that is willing to accept a buy back offer that is what is angering and getting you flack ! Ya I understand your position but coming onto the biggest gun forum and be mad that the liberals didn't have a buy back in place first before they banned guns is not going to make you friends on here. The fact that your so eager to drop to your knees and take whatever is offered is offensive to the majority of people here many who have contributed hundreds even thousands of dollars to help fund the multiple court challenges about to start

I and others have stated the only thing possible in your situation at this point in time is to strip your AR down put the upper and lower aside then sell the parts on the EE you should make it a full parts kit and you will sell it because stores are running low on parts and people want them for other builds so that is the advice your getting here sorry if its not what you hoped for but it is what it is.

If your investment is the issue, strip your rifle. Down to the last roll pin and detent spring. Put it in a for sale ad and I guarantee you will get your money back. Keep your bare receiver parts and sell the rest. You'll get more than the gov't will ever offer/force you in any buyback if that ever happens (I'm guessing no, they will backpedal and say there's no budget for it due to the rona and at best will offer a phony tax credit at pennies on the dollar).

Hell, a complete bcg will get you almost half your investment these days.
