Semi auto custom builds and accuracy

Well a threaded barrel with a muzzle brake and that flyer wouldnt have happend!!! Ooooh Im bettin I just ruffled some feathers.Of course you realize Im teasing. Excellent marksmanship Glenn. Even with the flyer not really too bad.

No feathers are ruffled. No one should ever bank on a random act of accuracy. With SK ammo it's the flyer(s) that should be expected. They are a frequent characteristic of entry-level match ammo. The nine that went very well were more the result of nine unusually and unexpectedly consistent rounds than anything else.

Haha, but that’s the “high” of rimfire. Those extraordinary groups, especially with sub quality ammo, that elevate you to such a level you believe it’s always obtainable. Please don’t pop this bubble…. LOL!

Great shooting! Really impressive. Details on your build would make lots of the members following very happy Im sure. Kudos Chris

Surely.

It started out as a carbine I bought used maybe 10 years ago. Unknown round count, Sh*t piles for certain.

-IBI 20” standard twist threaded match barrel and match chamber with target crown.
-Rednobb tuna can tuner
-Arch Angel deluxe target stock, bedding in progress
-Polished bolt, inside receiver as well as polished the original extractor and firing pin it also has original charging handle/spring (ordered some to try)
-Poly buffer rod
-Bx trigger group with tandemkross upgrade
/MDT 20MOA Rail
-Athlon Helos gen2 6-24x 34mm tube 56mm objective in Athlon 1.25” rings
-Short arca Swiss rail for tripod

Jerry from Mystic Precision supplied everything.

I set it up myself and tried every headspace checking idea on the internet since I didn’t have gauges. Also asked questions to anyone that would listen.

Saying I am impressed with it is anyone understatement. I built it for my daughters and the smiles it brings are worth every cent ( l do shoot it as well, a lot! )

Happy shooting

questions on the photos?

1). What is the advantage of the rail underneath being mounted so far forward ?

2). Appears to be same scope in the photos. What is it?

Thanks

These are setup for PRS games so having more rail to move things around and/or add ballast is a positive.

The scopes are Athlon Ares ETR (pm or email if I can help you with any Athlon product)
