Semi auto RPD ?

Funny looking belt in that picture.. LOL

They are most definitely belt feds.

Anyway, I'v already inquired about this firearm from some dealers/importers.

General conclusion is "Good luck".

I'd be the first to buy one if it happend though. RPD's are in my top 5 favorite list.

You spoke to the wrong people. I have a feeling they will be available in Canada this year.

I remember 'back in the day' when Kearns & McMurchy had a big ole crate of those badboys they were deactivating and selling. I fell in love with them back then, but being a wayward youth, didn't have the foresight to pick one up, as they had so many other fun things that went bang....Did anyone on the board get one back then?

Absolutely, T. I apologize if I let a fond memory carry the thread off topic...But by your solid reasoning in an earlier post, a dewat is probably as close as many will ever get to getting a RPD in an 'affordable' form. Unless a guy moves to Africa, but there semi-auto wouldn't matter, and isn't an option anyway...:D

Well I hope you are right although I don't know how, they are expensive and time consuming to produce versus other belt feds.

U.S. wont allow the exportation of them and over seas companies like norc have no interest in spending the resources needed for tooling ect.

Doesn't seem likely to me. Again hopefully you are right.

I understand that they "Will be built in Saskatchewan this year." It make make for a longer wait to get a sten though lol

If you want an RPD you will soon be able to buy one in Canada. If you want to try it out before parting with your hard earned folding that can easily be arranged. :) I will also give the same guarantee that i give with the stens, if it goes wrong I will fix it at no charge for as long as I am physically able to do so.
