semi-auto scare... who's ejecting?

Heh, maybe its a conspiracy. The shops sold more handguns during the ban scare than at any other point. I guess somebody out there wants to spike up rifle sales too!

I know I'll do my part when I get home ;)

Well, I admit I've sold two semi's since this all happened.

It's the only way I could afford to buy a couple different semis I've got my eye on. :D

Seriously though I ran scared in '92 with the new restrictions. It isn't going to happen again.

I know it's serious, but I wonder how many people are so worried about this threat that they are selling off their semi's?

My reaction was to jump in and get one :D.

My reaction was the same. I already have a semi, but I want my wife to get one in her name too.

It's not that I think grandfathering is the answer. We all know how that's gone down with other firearms that have become prohibited. I just do it mainly to piss off Liberal wanks. :) (and I'd have them anyway)

I just took possession of a brand new Nighthawk Custom 1911 (thanks Questar).

We always seem to be on the verge of a ban. If we stopped buying guns every time a ban was rumoured to be on the way then no one would ever buy guns and the antis win.

After announcing his idea for a handgunban Paul Martin later backtracked a little and qualified it with "if it is consitutionally possible". Apparently he said that after he realized that the numbers for guns stolen from lawful gun owners that were used in crimes were "inaccurate".

Now that we are somewhat organized and we have lots of facts and stats to back us up the Government cannot prove that it is in the best interests of society to ban any kind of gun from law abiding citizens. There is absolutely nothing to back that up. In the past we were screwed because we had no facts or stats and were not organized as well. The antis could lie to Parliament to the public and to us and we could not prove they were lying.

This doesn't mean that they won't try. It is for that reason that we should all join the CSSA, NFA and the Conservative Party. We need to strengthen the gun orgs. that fight on our behalf and the only Party that has proven to be reasonable in it's dealings with lawful gun owners.

I also make it a point to take lots of people shooting so they learn its a safe fun hobbie, and 'assault' rifles dont fly around killing people by themselves.

They will try and it is constitutional because we don't have property rights. That said if even 200,000 of the 1.3 million go to court the legal system crashes and burns. The courts would be so clogged that rapists and murders would be walking because they could not get a trial fast enough. The public live in blissful ignorance of property rights so we float the cost aspect. 1.3 million X $800 average + reloading + ammo + accessories = holy #### another gun registry fiasco. This will wake up JQ public.

I am going out of my way to get a blank lower when I have the funds. I also just got a TRP Operator.

well i did not sell off any semi's but i did decide to broaden my collection to imclude somebolt actions I picked up a few k98's and a k31

10/22, ar15, hk usp, sti edge, ruger gp100,.......bought and sold an ar an a few USP's in the meantime.
Still need a semi auto for hunting.(either SL8, or XCR, or AR 180B)

Bought AR-15, Ruger 10/22, and semi-auto handgun.
Will soon buy more handguns & maybe CZ-858.
The more owners and $$ in hardware out there, the better it is for our side.

1) Buy something now, lowers are great if money is tight.
2) Join CSSA.
3) Write a letter to your MP.

Don't let the ban rumors scare you, their purpose is to garner votes for the Libs.

If push came to shove, and we stick together, we will prevail.
