Semi - NON Restricted list?

it's just a matter of adapting - most lefties have little /no trouble using a semi, lever or pump- i'm left handed and i was trained on the m14-no deflectors needed - as for the t-97, there's fellas on here that use them left handed and one guy that has a mod for that or werkeing on it- as for the bolt, if you place the butt in your left shoulder and hold the forearm with the right hand,, you can use the heel of the palm of the left hadn and the fingers to come over the top and manipulate the bolt

Assuming centerfire, military-ish rifles:

$1000 and under:
-CZ858
-M305
-Mini-14
-M1 Garand
-Norinco Type 97
-SKS
-AR180B ($1000 even)
Over $1000:
-CX4 storm -with barrel change
-IWI Tavor T.A.R 21
-SIG Black/Green special
-HK SL8

Might be missing a few.

LOL ya right a 1000 for an AR 180b bwahahahhahah i frigging wish try 1300 with tax new if you can find them which you cant cause i think i got the last one from TSE and used their going for $1500 ish

don't know if you'd call these "milsurp" or a black rifle...

semi auto:
mg34
1919a4

Definitely some of the cooler non-r's you could possibly own ;)

If I recall correctly, there are some homemade deflectors for AK, SKS, CZ 858, M 305/M14s that could be sort of friendly for south paws. Im not sure about Mini 14. There are left handed semiauto sporting rifles, but they're not "tactical" if that's what your looking for. The T97 is right hand only being a bullpup, but the Tavor has a left hand bolt for sale on can am. I don't know about the XCR or M96 but the AR series has deflectors that you can use to fire left handed. Hell, there are so many versions out there, you might find one for leftys. I'm pretty sure the SL8 is ambi' but I don't know anything about the CX4. Also, one of the dealers here on CGN is trying to be a shop for leftys or something.
Thought that I read somewhere on CGN about a lefty that was O.K. with the way his 858 worked for shooting left, but can't find it now. I did notice that the HK is advertised as being ambi, so that's good, albeit pretty expensive. Just hoping to hear some (left)hands-on opinions is all. I'm a newb. but after all the reading that I've been doing on CGN I'm thinking that I would like to buy a non-restricted tac-type rifle or two eventually. For one thing I can't see them getting any easier or cheaper to buy. I also like the fact that for now at least you could use them in the field. Last but not least they look cool and there seems to be lot's of stuff available in the aftermarket to farkle them up and make them look even cooler. Of course spending time & money on one would be a waste if it was no fun to shoot as a southpaw.

Wondering who this lefty specialized CGN advertiser is too?

Hell, I'm a southpaw, and I have no problem shooting semis. The only thing I have to do is tuck in my right arm so that it is more under the gun than to the right of it. I have yet to be hit by brass, and I can't say it affects my accuracy at all.

I've gotta Garand and I'm a leftie. It ejects the brass at 6 o'clock and bounces the occasional one off my noggin. No biggie. Wear a cap. I've got a Benelli SBE in right hand too. Shoot better with it than any shottie I've ever had.

Here I was thinking the question was which firearm can be operated from the left-hand side with most ease and comfort, not which firearm can be operated from the left hand. In the case of the latter, practically all firearms can be operated from the left hand.

seems like his dad is a hunter.. what's available in a caliber that would be suitable for harvesting a deer.. maybe 308 semi under $1000. Heck, I might be interested in that.

Have a look at the BAR:

That don't sound right? How much grease you got on that thing? All of the M1's I've ever owned all ejected to the 1-2 o'clock position.
