the rcmp lab will likely test ANY homebuilt gun like this one
chances are somebody will try and register a FA or a CA as a semi or will build one not quite up to specs and be 'readily convertable" to FA
or use a or rec IE magwell or tube
I would expect that this FRT number would only apply to a Mk. II type carbine using the SAS-3 type mechanism. One made up in Mk. III configuration with the SAS-3 would have a different number, and one in Mk. V configuration yet another. One similar to 126844-1, but with a long barrel for non-restricted status might be -2. If the BD-3008 trigger mechanism was used, there would be yet another set of FRT numbers.

As you already went the long way with registering your SAS , would you agree to help us and "probe the ground" on the CFC / RCMP side, to know IF it could be done with a Mk3 ? You know what to ask and to whom so you seem to be THE person that could help us on this one too. I have nothing against a Mk2, they have style but a Mk3 with an 18 1/2 inches barrel (fake silencer) and non-removable barrel would be nice to own. At least to me.

Last one for today. here's what the back of the bbl looks like installed in a demilled front end of a MkII sten to test fit. Not yet chambered as we are waiting on a bolt to headspace it.
