IMO, the Sten is like a bulldog or pug nose dog, its beauty lies in its cold, simple, purpose built shape. It needs no HIVIZ fiber optic sights or collapsible stocks, timmey triggers or the likes. Its a built to fulfill its function and it does that well. Just my 2 cents

Maybe their sold out. there's a few catalogs to go through. they have just the pistol grips for about $25 or the pistol grip with folding stock for $75.
the stock looked kinda like a S&W machinegun stock (rectangle).
also they had front pistol grip before, they were about $10 but they went fast.
They get new stuff every so often. you should get on the E-mailing list. but use a U.S. P.O. if you can. you get daily specials by E-Mail

well said. unless it came on the sten back then, i wouldn't put it on a sten now. i can understand mods to up the capacity to 10 rounds , but not much else

I have one of these. I got it from IMA. http://www.ima-usa.com/ It is supposed to be a replica of an experimental stock that was never put into production. I don't know if that story is true or not. What I can tell you is the thing doesn't work cause the straight line stock doesn't allow you to put your head down far enough to see the sights. You'd find the same problem with the M4 collapsable stock posted earlier.
If anyone really wants one of these I'd sell mine. It definately looks cool.
BTW IMA is an excellent source for all sorts of interesting Sten bits.
I searched Sportsman Guide and couldn't find anything for the Sten. IMA sells that stock for $124.

It looks like the upper portion of the stock is piston-like....am I seeing things? Is it a form of recoil absorbtion, or is it just the way I'm seeing the pic?

I suspect it's a cheekrest, as your face would have to be down there to be able to line up with the sights...

I only put the thing on my Sten once so it is as new.
No, it is just rubber tubing slid over the steel tube stock.
You think this is ugly? Personally I think it is COOL!
