Senator intelligence ?

An intruder, not a terrorist.

I find it utterly mind boggling that there are these fools who want to ignore that Zihaf-Bibeau was a self-professed radical islamist who had experienced a "religious awakening" and who expressed his islamist motivations for his vile acts in his videos. Of course, such deniers of reality also insist that ISIS/ISIL members are not "real muslims" and are not motivated by what is written in the koran and the hadith. Peace and love, right?

I'm willing to bet that Hervieux-Payette calls herself a feminist out of one side of her mouth, and out of the other side promotes and defends the islamist practice of making it compulsory for their wives and daughters to wear burkas and other such suffocating tarps. ("It's their culture! It's their faith!") Because apparently it's become more politically correct to be a traitor (and I use the word purposefully) to the fundamental CANADIAN value of equality for women and girls, than to actually recognize and acknowledge that the religious doctrines of these people (radicals) matter when it comes to their acts.

Lastly, IMO this so-called senator is insulting the memory of Cpl. Cirillo with her insipid, I'll-conceived comments. IMO people like Zihaf-Bibeau mean more to Senator Hervieux-Payette than a soldier who lost his life serving our nation.

Shame on Senator Hervieux-Payette. Her comments disgust me.

Soldiers with guns! In our cities! In Canada! derp!

I take it Madame Senator is expecting RCMP officers to human wave charge any evil-doer; after all, Madame thinks that the police are scheduled to be the first victims of an attack.

Of course, the bad guy was just an intruder, not a terrorist. Still, I guess this 'non-terroristic' intruder was enough to spook even Mulcair into demanding full security coverage by the RCMP, and if he didn't get it "we will be obliged to assume that duty and act accordingly" (Angry Tom obviously wasn't aware that self-defence beyond calling 911 is frowned upon)

I would really be interested to hear how it should have went down in her opinion. It was wrong that an armed guard, Vickers, shot him? What is this idyllic situation that would have happened with the absence of violent weapons, except his? She has to have one.

She should try this aproach. Write letters to all the criminals and ask them to direct their energy into building bird houses out of sand, instead of commiting crimes.

From Wikipedia:

Hervieux-Payette became involved in controversy in March 2006 when she responded to an American couple's letter to all Canadian Senators protesting the annual seal hunt in Newfoundland. The American, Anne McLellan, told Canadian television channel, CTV Television Network, that herfamily cancelled plans to vacation in Canada, describing the seal hunt as "appalling".

In her responding letter, Hervieux-Payette wrote that what she finds horrible is "the daily massacre of innocent people in Iraq, the execution of prisoners – mainly blacks – in American prisons, the massive sale of handguns to Americans, and the destabilization of the entire world by the American government's aggressive foreign policy, etc."

The blog paints a person that is vain, self absorbed and self centered. How dare the announcements be in english only, i could not take my staff!!!

She is to retire in 2016 at the mandatory age of 75, so the photo is from 30 or 40 years ago, and i would bet that every gray hair is dyed away. How dare those men with "Machine Guns" interrupt her ideal of what her job is and inject some reality.

Something about the Peter Principle and "managers rise to the level of their incompetence" comes to mind.

This Libtard has definitely reached the top!

How are these people that want to disarm everyone, even the police, going to enforce their prohibition?

I don't find this funny at all. It is very alarming to have people in high places, with such a mentality. Are we depending on people like her for important decisions? And we're paying her too? Oh man, this is sad.

Agreed. Her blog reads like satire. It's really scary to think that this how she actually feels.
