Just looking for some opinions. Is the Serpa CQC holster the way to go or should i look at the Fobus Roto-holster. I'm just looking for a nice holster for my P226. A decent range rig is all I'm interested in. Any other suggestions are welcomed.
thanks
Eric

I have the serpa set up for a few guns, I like them a lot. If you think you might have problems fumbleing with the release you might just go with the CQC (if it is only for range work)

I quite like my Serpa holster. I'm using it with a P226 also.

I was asking the same questions a few weeks ago for holsters. I ended up going with the Serpa. The guys on here tossed out the BladeTech as another option. I stumbled across the cQc at Shooters Choice in Waterloo, really dug the design, I wasn't too keen though on the serpa set-up. I was worried that having to push that little button would slow down the draw. But Being a newbie and a bit a clutz at times, I figured it was best to error on the side of caution so that I am not taking the risk of dropping a loaded pistol. Needless to say the Serpa is in my opinion, surprisingly fast and very natural. It comes with paddle and belt set-up and adjustable spacers to fit anything from a 2.5" belt down to almost as low as you'd like. Cant angles are also adjustable and easy to use.

If for some reasson you do by the cQc Serpa and don't like the added level of retention you can just remove the button.

I ended up getting it off E-bay for about 60 when everything was all said and done.

Well, thanks for all the info and responces. I beleive i'll be getting one of those Serpa critters for my P226.
thanks again

I think it would be safe to presume that most of the supporting dealers of this site would be able to hook you up with a Blackhawk cQc Serpa.

Personally, I'd start there then see which direction they steer you in.

Serpa is a great hoslster no doubt. Its primary function is retention. Don't know if you are concerned about having someone on the range take your gun away from you??? I too have had good service out of a fobus. The Blade Tech is a step up in quality from Fobus IMHO.

People are hoping to ccw with it ;)

Everytime I use my Sepa Holster I smile and thank my wife for getting it for me. It's easy to use and secure, no DQ for having your gun fall out of the holster. Plus it gives lots of mounting options.
