Serpa CQC holster

I like them a lot.

I would go as far as saying that this is an understament. I spent the evening chatting with Steve and Company, and they sold me on the Serpa. And I was a rabid SafaryLand owner beforehand.

Your requirements may be differend, and what you feel comfortable with could end up being something entirely different.

But the Serpa is a pretty good place to start.

I have heard of these issues also. at first they claimed the retention lock caused the guns to go off and I looked at how the holster interacts with my Sig 226, there is no way in hell, the holster can catch the trigger. As for the trigger finger falling into the guard, well I guess that's a training issue. This guy has a bone to pick with the company. I am sorry but I just don’t buy it.

Yeah, I guess Andy Stanford, James Yeager, Tom Givens, and Gabe Suarez are just a bunch of whiny internet guys as well.

Well since everyone seems to repeating the same stories the problem appears bigger than it is. Just the tone of this guy's report makes me think that he has axe to grind with Blackhawk. they may be well known but they are still human.

It seem that many of the Kydex style holsters have problems with the breaking by twisting. If you apply enough force to anything it will break.

Maybe they are. I know a few guys that use the CQC's for work - vigourous work - and they like them fine.
No complaints of breakage or of guns being taken from them.

I had one here for a bit - it certainly looked sturdy.

I love my CQC Serpa holster for my NP29 Norinco-plinko. My wife loves her Serpa holster too. So easy and quick to use on the range. Reholstering is faster than the metaphorical SNAP.

My former student (taught him 15 years ago) is a 'Hawk driver in OIF and he sports a Serpa holster with MOLLE attachment plate mounted on his aviator vest (PALS compatible) by his left collarbone for rapid presentation (so to speak) should the need arise.

Want a picture? Just email me: bgotuaco@sympatico.ca and I'll fwd you a pic he sent me.

Nice to know that I affected his decision to move to Texas and sign up to be a 'Hawk driver (Blackhawks , I mean).

Rock the holster that works for you and your budget.

Cheers all,
Barney
