I would like to thank Tim and Barney for running such a great season of CQB :D and to thank all the sponsors we had for this match...especially Epps :p Also..........I told you Plink, the young guns were coming for you ;)

Next time make it a convincing win though will ya?? One measly point...?? I think there's a good chance the old timers can win the challenge next time ;) :D

We purposely aimed for a one point win so it would be more excruciating for you guys ;) made my last shot in the inner rather the the v bull :p....and thank you :D

With work and family stuff, it's hard getting away for part of a Saturday for a nearby shoot.

Going down there is 10 hours of driving, plus and overnight stay.

I shouldn't have gotten into this stuff a lot more before the house got fuller....

I am getting my M4 ready for the next one. Could some of the more experienced people here tell me what they used for a sling? Also the sling mount? How do you guys find the QD swivels?

A lot of us are in the same boat! I am trying to "maintain" until I am retired and the kids are out of the house, then I will be a pro shooting a few times a week if not more! :D
 
VCAS from One Shot.
He also has mounts for the rail for QD swivels. Depending on the stock you have, there might be a cup for the swivel, or you can just secure it the conventional way.

I like the swivels. Very secure and if you need to swap a sling to something else, or remove it for cleaning/servicing, they're great.

I'd be happy to get to one shoot a month. Doesn't always happen.

In the last year, I've done 2 IDPA matches, 2 Classifiers, 2 Service CQB matches, and 1 3-gun at Frontenac.

Which is more than the few years before combined.... lol

I use the same sling on the factory swivels on my Colt. It works just dandy.

I really blew the last match, so if there's anyone to blame for the one point loss it's myself. Was all over the place.. I think my glycemic index was too low because of lack of food.. :p Those burgers just weren't filling like they usually are.. :D

Even though Barney's salty nuts were fantastic, I was starting to fade later in the match... :D


Anyways, fun day, and your shooting was right on the money! :)

ya thanks tim and barney for a great event lets have some more in ottawa next year so i dont have to do 8 hours driving in a day again :D

we came we saw we conquered :p pobcat won that for us my pistol shots sucked

i know what happened to the burgers, i ate a 12" sub in three minutes before the start of the match, though i was gonna die haha
