OK, first of all, thanks to TimK and Hungry for running their usual tight ship. :) Nothing like having a shooting match that isn't all about f**king the football!!

Always so impressed to go to these matches and meet the same calibre of people every time... Helpful, fun, enjoying a good day out in the sun with like minds, heck, even families.. !! :) Gotta love that Quebec contingent!! (They even brought a dog which makes them even more "special" to me.. :D )

Hmm, not a single gang banger came out to keep up his skills, go figure.. LOL

Lots of good black rifle and pistol fun to be had by all, and I love to see the young guys and new shooters coming out. Nothing like that big s**t eatin' grin on a guys face when he goes "YEAH! I got of all my rounds off this time, and hell, I even scored over 120 for this match!!.. AND, I'm shooting a Norinco M4!!!" :D :D

Everyone is sorting their kit out, making it work, learning, and having a blast doing it. As my partner, RifleDude said today.. "It's the most fun you can have without taking your clothes off" :D :D

All I can say is, in the words of Oliver Twist... I'd like some MORE PLEASE! :D

USP Distances are all 30 metres and in. Snap, rapids, transitions, pistol... etc.... wont' get into details ;)

Is it just a show and shoot? What is the round count?

No, it was a match. Round count was 88 rifle rds, 22 pistol rds x2 because there was one run through and one official match. Matches were a combination of snap, deliberate and transition at 35 to 10 yards IIRC.

AR180shooter:

Yes, you were not here to defend yourself! LOL

dudley2112 was here to uphold the honor of the AR180 legends. dudley2112's AR180 was singing during the match. Shot very well. Even better than all the LMT , Larue, and Colts I've seen at my matches :nest: ha ha ha ha

Yes, it was a great time. Now Timk and I have to start planning the next 24 Oct match. To make things worse... I've got to be in Halifax this next weekend for an M14 clinic! Okay, back to the Service CQB matches! No more hijacking of this thread!

Barney

Hey, were there any Larue or Noveske or Colt shooters today?

:nest

What's wrong with LaRue, Noveske, or Colt?

Why not get into details, why is it a secret? With the attendance being open, what's the problem with giving out information of the stages?

Hungry here: email me and I'll send you the crse of fire, like all the competitors receive! hungry556@rogers.com

Still don't get it....
Have you seen a lot of problems with the above manufacturers?

Hungry here: I've been running the Service Rifle matches (quite a test of body and boomsticks) for (lost count now) many years and all these super brands never turn up. The soldiers reading my posts have never laid their hands on the high-zoot boomsticks and ask me about any civvies (remember, we run the matches for the reg/res teams) shooting with cachet boomsticks. And then when some (really just one) brand showed up, the boomsticks never completed all Matches 1 through 12. Just an observation from my matches! That's all!

'Twas the night before Service/cqb,

When all through the man cave, not a reloader was stirring, not even Barney,

The La Rues were ready, and cleaned with great care,

In the hopes that Timk, would bow and say prayer,

The ammo was snuggled, all confident in their mags,

Knowing the Colts, would not emerge from their bags,

And the wife in her helmet, and I in my plate carrier,

Gazed into the mirror, and debated who looked scarier,

When out on the range there arose such a clatter,

I pryed my eyes from the reflection, to see what was the matter,

Away to the scope I flew like a flash,

Tore off the covers and focused in fast,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature truck, and an officer in cowboy gear,

With a little old driver, so lively and strong,

I new in a moment it must be St. John,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

Although wearing gas masks, they all looked the same,

"Now, Alex! now, Dudley! now, Cancer and Plink!

Take off that Cadpat, or I'll raise a big stink!

OOO that's what all the shooting was...I was up at Borden with my army reserve unit shooting as well. Gorgeous weather for shooting on Saturday.

Which range were you guys at? We were at Amiens...then we were throwing the grenades too :D

Really looked like it was fun. Maybe when I get some more guns I can join you guys
