This is my second 332, another great secret, not secret? is that there is storage in the handle for fire stuff and some fishhooks and line if you go survival mode.
Ah........an optimist....Finally rounded out my stable of 22's
don't you need the 40" barrel version to go fishing? This is my second 332, another great secret, not secret? is that there is storage in the handle for fire stuff and some fishhooks and line if you go survival mode.
This was done because Canada Post was paying back plenty of shipping costs to the shipper as they were not making their expected delivery times. And 90% of the time, CP delivers way before the estimated delivery date. Never had any serious problems with CP. Once a parcel shipped from Windsor to Waterloo went to Montreal, then to Niagara then finally to me. Took 1.5 weeks longer. Hopefully my Scorpios will come to me without any diversions.
But still, 4 days travel time from BC to Ontario right to my door is not bad for Canada Post. Just received my two Scorpios today. The fit and finish very good, surprisingly. Better then the one I bought 8 years ago. Ejection nice and strong unlike my vintage Scorpio. I just noticed that bolts have no serials stamped anywhere, unlike the old Scorpios that had the receiver serial stamped on the bolt body as well, well more like laser etched than stamped but still nice to know the bolt was matched to the receiver. Unless the serials are found elsewhere on the bolt but I wasn't able to find it yet. This was done because Canada Post was paying back plenty of shipping costs to the shipper as they were not making their expected delivery times.
Now they doubled the shipping time-frames. When the parcel shows up early, they look like a hero.......
I can only assume the increased shipping estimate dates are related to disgruntled employees who screw the pooch on duty so to speak. I guess I would be choked as well, being forced back to work with no settlement on their contract.
Oddly enough, CP Corporation is already warning of anther possible labor disruption this May due to no agreement being met between the employees and the corporation.
Here we go again......![]()
Not sure how far you get into the internals, but can you tell if the triggers are the same? The fit and finish very good, surprisingly. Better then the one I bought 8 years ago. Ejection nice and strong unlike my vintage Scorpio.
I have both of the newer models, and the triggers are the same. I really didn't notice the bolt handles are different until I received the shorty model and found it had a tactical bolt. Went back to original posting and yes, it shows tactical bolt on the "X" model and round bolt handle on the "A" model. The round bolt tucks in nicely against the stock, kind of would prefer that on the shorty as it would be better suited to bush wacking and not getting hung up on branches. Still, these are great value 22's and more accurate than they should be at this price point. May buy one more just for parts.......Not sure how far you get into the internals, but can you tell if the triggers are the same?
Seems to be the #1 variable of the older models
Just got mine.{Wed.to.Mon}.Dang, that trigger is light..allot lighter than I expected. My MK II trigger is set very light, this sorta feels close to that. Very crisp break. Rifle feels 'beefy'{in a good way}. A tad heavy, but that doesn't bother me. Feels Solid = My Fav. new {bolt action} .22!Not sure how far you get into the internals, but can you tell if the triggers are the same?

The round bolt is probably more comfortable if you like to manipulate the bot with the palm of the hand as well, good news on the possible brush snagging is that the safety locks to bolt closed.I have both of the newer models, and the triggers are the same. I like the stock better than I thought as well. Best couple hundred+ I've spent in a while..
Thinking to get the other model now as well.
IF anyone is getting a custom stock made, & wants to sell their factory one, let me know. Thnx!
For getting both as well? I went, thinking to do that, but saw it's 15% off air guns..so I bought an Air Javelin instead lol I need to sell a .22 or 2, then I will get the 20". I have an idea for the stock..but if I spill the beans -No one will sell me their old oneI was thinking the same thing Johnyy......
Buying another stock and modifying the forend.
I agree the stock is ripe for some modifications, but I also agree that it's way better then I thought it would be as is.....For getting both as well?
